Diva Coffee Break Designs Color Challenge #170
Hello stampers!!!
Today is going to be a super short post as I am in some serious pain. My scoliosis is acting up again. But the reason why, and which is some big news is: I AM BACK TO WORK!! I am back dog grooming with a super sweet friend from church. I absolutely love this job and love working with the dogs. I get my fill of every breed and get to make them pretty from their long hair. I went to bed really early last night and did not have time to make a card for today but I didn’t want to let anyone down, so I whipped one together this morning. Its pretty plain for me but I hope you like it. Go on over to the Diva’s Blog and see what everyone else did with this challenge.
I’m on the Royal Blog Tour! It’s launching April 30 through May 3. I’m so excited I’ve been chosen to be a Princess! I hope you’ll become a Royal Tourist and ride along in a Royal Coach. Please come and visit my castle during the tour! For more information, please check out these links!

HAPPY ST PATRICK’S DAY !!!
Hello stampers! And Happy St Patty’s Day!! Are you feeling lucky today? Are you Irish? My dad
says that he is part Irish so I guess that leaves a part of Irish in me too. But I honestly
don’t celebrate the day like some of you do. Green beer, cabbage rolls, rhueben sandwiches and
the famous KISS ME I’M IRISH saying!
Well for all of you today I made my sketch a St Patty’s Day card and I hope that you all have
a safe and fun day!!
Have a great GREEN day!! And for those of you that don’t know, GREEN is my
favorite color!! So there’s some trivia for you.
Blessings, Heidi
A Wedding Card for a special couple….
This card was made for our friends Lea & Jamie who got married this past Saturday. We were honored to be invited to the wedding and she was the most gorgeous bride. Her dress matched her daughters dresses who were standing up for her and her X-husband,,,,, yes, you read that right. They decided that with the guidance of God in their lives this time that they were in love and she asked him to marry her on Christmas Day. I thought that was so sweet and romantic.
Doug and I were involved in what our church calls a Grace Group (Real Life Group) and they were a part of it for 3-4 months. We got to know them through the group and you could just tell the day they came together, that there was something brewing in them. (In a good way)
So here’s my card, I know the set is retired, but is my all time favorite wedding set and I will never part with it!!
Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!

My Birthday “Hostess” Class
I decided that for my class this month we would do birthday cards for the Tweens/Kids and I am so happy with the way these turned out. I am hoping that they like them as much as I do.
The 1st card was inspired by Tami White, but I added some color to it and tried to make it mine other than the Frost White shimmer paints.

This card used the Exteme Elements background stamps along with the Extreme Snowboarder. My card base is Bermuda Bay, layered on Whisper White and then Basic Black. On the basic black, I used the Encore Silver to make the background. Then I embossed the Snowboarder on Basic Black w/ Black embossing powder. Taking a dauber I went into the cap of the Frost White paint and rubbed it all around the image. Then I took a tissue and whipped off the extra paint. I layered this onto Brushed Silver, added silver brads and the stars. I then put this on dimensionals and there you have it. I think any boy would love this card. I know my son thought it was pretty cool.

Now for the girls card I used the Pretty Pony set and the Razzleberry DSP. I started with the Melon Mambo base and added a small piece of the DSP down the side. To add a little more pizzaz to it, I used my versamark pad and put the small stamps all over the MM piece. I really like the way that turned out. I then used the Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon and tied a small bow around the DSP. For the horse, I used the Rich Razzleberry cardstock for the base and then layered it with the whisper white. I stamped the horse on with Black Stazon due to coloring. I colored the hair with the markers and then added some shimmer to the wings and hair with the gorgeous dazzling diamonds. I added dimensionals to that center piece. For the saying I used the word window punch and then the Fancy Label Punch.

decided to play with these on my card. So what do you think?
Now that you have been inspired, hop on over to the diva blog and play along with us. We would love to see

Diva Coffee Break Designs Color Challenge #162
Yes, my hubby stole my heart almost 19 years ago, and he still has it. Our anniversary is next month and this card reminded me of him while I was missing him at work today. I have been house ridden pretty much due to a messed up back and to even get this card done was a real task. So I hope that this card inspires you to create today no matter what the circumstance. So heres my card.
This challenge was one that made me think alot. Alot more than I really wanted to on how to position these colors. So because I couldn’t get it with these 4 beautiful colors I decided to add a piece of cardstock vellum and emboss it with our new embossing Polka Dots folder to lighten up the colors a little. You like?????
Well we would love to see you play along with us on this wonderful challenge so if you do design something, hop on over to the DIVA BLOG and upload your creation to Mr Linkey so we can see your work.
