CBCC #17 Challenge – Ornament

Hello again!!

This weeks challenge with The Chicks is making an ornament. I have a TON of these ornaments here at home and thought I would use one of them finally.

This was super easy and very pretty in real life with the dazzling diamonds inside. I also cut up some very shiny wrapping paper in red and silver and added that to the mix. I finally used my crimper with is very lonely these days. :)

So tell me what do you think? Do you think these would sell in a vendors booth? I am looking for some super quick ideas for my new booth that I am renting at the store I work at.
Recipe:
Rubons Snow Flurries
Paper: Riding Hood Red CS
Accessories: Crimper, Dazzling diamonds, RR Striped ribbon.
Now lets see what you can do and also please check out all of the other Chicks designs.
Happy Tuesday!

CBCC Sketch #16 Challenge

This is being post poned for now until I can get Hunter settled in from his surgery. He had his tonsils & adenoids out yesterday and is not doing so great.

This weeks challenge was to make a Bag-a-lope and a recipe. Please check out what the other chicks created.

Thanks and hope to see you back this week.

CBCC Sketch #15 Challenge

This sketch was alot of fun for me. I actually am really getting into doing these sketches, color challenges and other creations. It gets my mind thinking alot more when its not just something that I put together on my own. I was able to incorporate alot of things that either I don’t use alot of and/or I just don’t use enough all together and they are a unused.

It was snowing here today for a while and although we only ended up with a very light dusting on the ground, I thought that I would use my new snowlake die with my sizzix and also use the felt for the snowflake that I purposely bought to use with this. YAY!! It worked great and it gave some dimension to the paper also by using my snowflake embossing folder.

For the button, I cut a strip of chocolate cs, crinkled it up & made my own thread for the button. I have seenthis on other cards before and I just had to try it.

Here in this picture I was trying to show you the depth of the card and the dimensions. There are alot of layers here including the dimensionals and the thickness of the felt.I hope that maybe this card gets you in the winter mood. Because whether we like it or not, winter is here. Play along and check out the other CHICKS blogs and see what they have come up with for this super fun sketch.

CBCC Tuesday COLOR Challenge

I am back from my fun filled Mommy Nursing Job. :) As you saw in the past post I have had a rough past 3 weeks with Dalton and his Tonsils/ Adenoids surgery but I am FINALLY able to create and play with all of my neglected stamps that have been itching to be inked up. So for one of the 1st things I needed to do was to do this awesome Challenge by Courtney:
I do have to admit that these colors going together for me was a little harder than I thought it would be. I have so many stamps that I wanted to use but couldn’t decide on one so I honestly closed my eyes, and just picked one. The lucky winner for this is the wonderful set called Enjoy Everything.
A little close up of the card to show the raised up ENJOY and EVERY MOMENT. I hope that this inspires you to play along with us and make a card with these 3 wonderful colors.

Remember to ENJOY Every Moment and The Little Things, because once they are done and over with, there’s no going back to that special time.

Blessings,

My Card for …..CBCC06

This card is for the CBCC Challenge 06. See my sidebar for the other gals creations.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The turning of the leaves, the pumpkins, the smells that come with Fall : Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon, Butter buns, Spice, Apples and many more. So I am sure that you will see many more FALL cards coming soon.
I thought I would make this card using the New stamp set from Stampin Up AUTUMN HARVEST along with the saying from HUGS & WISHES. I used the masking technique for this particular card so the pumpkins didn’t over lap each other. I just love using this technique. For those of you that do not know what masking means I will give you a small picture-less tutorial:

1. Stamp the image that you want in the front, onto a scrap piece of cardstock
2. Cut out the image as close to the lines as you can
3. Now stamp the same image onto your piece of cardstock for the card you are making.
4. Now cover up that stamped image with your cut out cardstock image.
5. Ink up the same or a differnt image that you want to be beside or behind the covered image.
6. Stamp your image onto the cardstock, right over your cut out image.
7. Remove the cut out image and there you have it.

Pretty neat huh? Now you try it.
Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Autumn Harvest, Hugs & Wishes
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust
Paper: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Retired DSP & Retired Wild Wasabi CS
Accessories: Key Tag Punch, Corner Rounder, Aqua Painter, Earth Elements Watercolor Crayons, Scallop Edge, Natural Hemp Twine, Sponge
