Isn’t she cute in her Flag Team jacket!?!?! Hannah, my 2nd grader, got to take her big brothers place on the flag team this year and is the 1st GIRL to ever be a FLAG GIRL!! She was so thrilled to be doing this and to be able to carry on her brother’s place.

Today she brought home her coat and was so excited. She has naturally curly hair and the principal of our school and gym teacher both call her “Curly Sue”. They told her that her coat would have that name on it instead of Hannah. I guess they were just razzing her again. I think she is happy that her real name is there.

I just had to post a huge THANK YOU to all of the sweet angels that sent my son the GET WELL “HAPPY” cards. I should have gotten a picture of his face as daily he would go to the mailbox and pick out 5-6 cards just for him. I had not seen that smile for a couple weeks and you gals did a great job on putting it back on his face for me!! THANK YOU!! This pic is of him right after his 1st day back to school. The poor kid was so tired and worn out that he curled up on the couch and fell fast asleep for over an hour.

These bellas are so fun to play with! I am so glad that I have to be creative, and make some fun things for this event.

Today has not been such a good day for our family as we said our final “Farewell’s” to my husband’s biological father. We just found him after 21 yrs to find him full of cancer. We got to spend a little under 4 weeks with him and will treasure those weeks.
His burial service was with full honors, so if I need to say more. WOW!! The 21 gun salute was absolutely heart wrenching, and the flag folding and presenting was pristine!! My husband’s aunt was presented the flag, and then she presented it to my husband. He absolutely was flabergasted. For 1 week now he has hid his emotions and didn’t know how to feel, and today he let them out finally. Our pastor did the service and he said some awesome words. My wish was to have “Amazing Grace” played at the end, because I just adore the words to that song. It fits my husband and fits his dad to a tee. The finalization of forgiveness and being found again!

This is for my daughter Hannah “Montana” , or “banana” or “hug” …. and this child was NOT to have any nicknames… go figure.

She picked out the colors and is so giddy that I made this for her. She is such a girlie girl and my princess. I love this Headline Alphabet and refuse to get rid of it even if SU did retire it.

Nothing on here is Stampin Up other than the ink and Headline Alphabet. She just wanted it to be pretty and pink. Enjoy!

… my life and NEW YEAR has been consumed with nothing but HAPPINESS and then SADNESS!!

A good friend of ours died suddenly of an aneurysm he never knew he had. He was only 46 and leaves behind 3 darling kiddos the same ages of mine. My heart is broken for these children.
Then my grandma was hospitalized right before New Years. She was diagnosed with dementia. And possibly the start of Alzheimer’s. Again devastated.
My mom just had a colonoscopy yesterday….. THANK GOD everything is ok, but we still need to find out why she has lost so much weight for NO reason.
Then my SIL made our week happy with the birth of our nephew, Joseph. He is doing great.
And now my kiddos are back in school as of Monday and my house is a disaster. So I have no time to stamp let alone think about it right now, so please be patient with me. I will be back in a day or so.

Please say some prayers for my family ….

I am so sorry to my “blogger readers” for not posting my fun creations lately. I have been so busy with sickness in my family playing NURSE and MOM that I even had to take a couple days off for myself and be a little sick. My poor son, Dalton who is 9, has had this horrible cough for over 3 weeks so we took him back to the dr to be put on an antibiotic, an inhaler, and told that if the “noise” in his bottom lung does not go away we would be going to a pulmanologist. So last Monday I called again, NO BETTER. They put him on Prednisone. TALK ABOUT wicked med!!! I will prevent him from ever being on this if ever needed again. He was an alien child!! He was angry at everyone, could not take a joke, nothing. NOT my usual fun LOVING Dalton. So on Friday, I take him back to the dr to find that the “noise” is completely gone ***PRAISE GOD!!!*** and they are pretty sure he had Asthmatic Bronchitis and also a touch of allergies. So, now we are on Claritin and so far, so good.
Now for Hannah, she got a touch of a cold that lasted approx 2 days but she is a real fighter and it has not kept her down… THANK GOD!!
As for the Hubby, Doug, he is VERY SICK as we speak. His has been going on for a week now, he was at the drs on Tuesday ???? ( The days are all running together now) and they said its viral. YA RIGHT!! He has been coughing his lungs up, on the couch every night because I cannot sleep with that going on, and is going back to the dr tomorrow.
As for me, mine hit Friday. I felt as if someone dragged the life and energy out of me. I took a 3 hr nap and then was back in bed at 9:30 ish pm that night. I got up on Saturday, thought I had all of these fun things planned,…. ya right. I went to a brunch for my Bible Study at 10 am,.,, came home at Noon and fell asleep for 3 hrs again!!! Hubby literally drug me to the grocery store, I bet we looked like the 2 most pitiful people alive…lol. We came directly home and back on the couch and loveseat we went and in bed again at 9pm. THIS IS SO NOT ME!!
On Sunday, I woke up to go to church by myself because no one else felt good to go. So I went and am feeling a little better now. I really think that all of the sickness, fending for the family, judgement house, etc etc pulled me down and I had to regain myself.
Today I am BLEACHING trash cans, lysoling cupboard handles, anything touchable and defuming the house…. LOL
So that has been my last 3 weeks .. I hope yours were better.
