Christmas Cards Day 2

8Ok here we are on day 2 of  Christmas card stamping. This has got to be one of my favorite stamp sets and I hope (are you listening SU?) that they don’t retire this one for a long time. It is called Snow Swirled and it is one of those stamps that is so easy, yet you can make it such an elegant card also, by adding a little embossing or whatever you choose. Our theme was easy cards, so we just stamped this one.
9This card I used the new 5/8″ Satin Whisper White Ribbon on and the one above we used the
Organza Ribbon on to give them 2 different looks.

Recipe:

Stamps:

  • Snow Swirled

Ink:

  • Real Red

Cardstock:

  • Whisper White
  • Old Olive
  • Snow Burst DSP (retired)

Accessories:

  • Scalloped Oval Punch
  • 1 3/4″ Oval Punch
  • Organza Ribbon
  • 5/8″ Satin Ribbon
  • Dimensionals

I hope you enjoyed day 2 cards and will come back tomorrow to see what else we stamped up for you!

Hugs

Christmas Cards Day 1

1On Tuesday a couple of my new stampin’ buddies got together and decided that Christmas cards were what we needed to get started on, and that is just what we did. For the next couple of days I will be posting our cards we created together.

This one is a simple, quick and yet striking card that we did. I used the Rich Razzleberry instead of the normal red & green Christmas colors and they loved it.

I myself have decided not to let Christmas sneak up on me this year in my card making. How are you doing with it so far? You know its only 4 months away!! YIKES!!!

Have a great week and we will see you tomorrow with another card we made for Christmas.

CBCC #17 Challenge – Ornament

Hello again!!

This weeks challenge with The Chicks is making an ornament. I have a TON of these ornaments here at home and thought I would use one of them finally.

This was super easy and very pretty in real life with the dazzling diamonds inside. I also cut up some very shiny wrapping paper in red and silver and added that to the mix. I finally used my crimper with is very lonely these days. :)

So tell me what do you think? Do you think these would sell in a vendors booth? I am looking for some super quick ideas for my new booth that I am renting at the store I work at.
Recipe:
Rubons Snow Flurries
Paper: Riding Hood Red CS
Accessories: Crimper, Dazzling diamonds, RR Striped ribbon.
Now lets see what you can do and also please check out all of the other Chicks designs.
Happy Tuesday!

Hunter Update & Christmas Teas

Thank you for all of your prayers and wishes during Hunter’s surgery. We had a rocky road that we hit on Thanksgiving Day but he is doing MUCH, MUCH better now that we know his belly doesn’t like Tylenol w/ Codeine and neither does his entire system. He was sleeping so much due to the codeine, and we honestly were fighting him to take the meds. Then 10 mins later he was out cold. Come to find out that the codeine was doing its normal job for the sleepy, but the pain killer was not killing the pain at ALL. The poor guy was miserable. If he wasn’t sleeping, he was hanging over a trash can. UGH!! So now that we have all of that under control, I can get back to stamping and creating.

So I wanted to make these cute little Christmas Tea’s made out of an envelope. I saw someone else do this on SCS and had to try it. I have changed mine up a ton and really am going to work my heart out on these so I can get them in my new BOOTH at the store I work in. I hope you enjoy them. They are really easy to make. See the supplies needed below.

Recipe:
Stamps: Hero Arts Acrylic
Paper: All generic paper from various stores. Trying to use this up!!
Ink: Close to Cocoa & Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: A2 Envelope, Scalloped Edge Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Large Tag Punch, Tab Punch, & Tea of your choice.

Christmas Punchy Tree

This card is so fun and shows the versatility of our punches. To make this tree all you need is the Corner Punch. If you need this punch and do not have it, email me and I will be happy to order it for you. This is a horrible picture of the color on this card, so I will be updating another one today at some time.
I hope you enjoy the card as much as I do and now on to the Christmas cards that I have been wanting to make for some time now.

Enjoy:

Snow Swirled

Happy MONDAY stampers!! Here in OHIO the weather is somewhat BLAH so I am trying really hard to keep up the happy spirits. I love the colors of the trees turning and the leaves falling, but the only thing that goes along with that is BRRRR weather. So for most of today, I spent most of it under my blanket. I just cannot get warm today no matter how hard I try.

My month of October is very full with kiddo things. My oldest son is having his tonsils and adenoids out next Tuesday. Then my other 2 kiddos birthdays are the 20th and 24th. But the biggest thing of all happeninig here is our annual church, JUDGEMENT HOUSE. This is a HUGE event that our entire church gets transformed into a 10 room scene with a very dramatic story. If you are interested in seeing what is going on at our church go to GRACE CHURCH and keep checking back for updates. If you are in the Northeast OHIO area or even just wanting to enjoy something a little different than the normal haunted houses, stop buy and see us. I will be a tour guide for the 2 weeks that it is playing.

Well this card has nothing to do with the above talk but its another of my World Card Making Day cards.

Oh So WONDEROUS GIFT Trees…….

These 2 color combos and set has got to be one of my favorite cards that I have made so far for Christmas. I love the light blue with the navy blue. But I also love the burgandy and light blue together too. I think they are very elegant Christmas matches. I copied this card from someone but I do not remember who know. The card I copied though was made with burgandy. I did change it up a little and added the punch star and gold on this card.

Recipe
Stamp Set: Wonderous Gift
Ink: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue,Encore Gold
CS: W White, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy
Acccessories: Navy 1/4″ grosgrain, Small Star Punch, Dauber

This is my 2nd card that I made with this same set but changed the bold color to burgandy. I love both cards so much. We had so much fun making them at my WORLD CARD MAKING EVENT. I knew that Donna would LOVE the burgandy and boy did she.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree…..

…… how lovely are your branches?

Yes, I am getting in the holiday spirit today and we went out right after church and got a tree and some new ornaments and ribbon. I have wanted a blue, silver & white tree FOREVER and I finally got it. We normally do something different with our tree every year but this year we all wanted to get a real tree and a small one. With the family growing and my craft room taking up the space where the tree would go…. well my room kindof took over… Hee hee.

So we all picked out the bulbs & the ribbon. (Honestly, I am so shocked that Doug & I finally TOTALLY agreed the 1st time on the color. He is very multicolored lights traditional & I am anything goes.) I was gleeming when we got home & started putting it together. The kids were great and we all had so much fun.
They are now all nestled in their beds and I snapped a few pictures of the finished work of our home, and reminded them as we said our prayers, that even though we have the Christmas tree, The blow up Santa in the front lawn and the snowmen all over the house that the most important thing about this time of year is the MANGER scene that is on the top of the tv…. the birth of JESUS and what his birth means to us!! Merry CHRISTmas my friends!! Doug painted this about 7 yrs ago and this is the 1st year we have really been able to put it up and not worry about it getting broken by little fingers. He glazed it in a ivory color and then had it fired over and over again to give it a huge shine. Its all lit up with lights around it and the fake snow-fur, but my camera wouldn’t pick that up. Its gorgeous.
Thanks for sharing our day with us!!
