I am so sorry that I have been MIA the past couple of weeks. I have been working, and getting the kids ready for summer break with all of the fun things that us moms and dads get to do, like Field Day, Awards Day….. etc. And this year I will be working 2 days a week and the kiddos will be going to my mom and dads house …. oh what will I do without 3 kids for 2 nights?!?!? (Hee Hee)

WOW What a weekend with the Royal Blog Tours. They were great and I hope that you liked what I did for my designs. If you didnt get to see the tour, just scroll past this post and see my designs.

I wasnt too sure about this sketch as always. I am not so good at interpreting them so I decided that I wanted the round part of the sketch to be square. So I used my Scallop Square with my Big Shot.  I also was freaking out about what stamp set to use, so I FINALLY got out my Stencil that I have had forever and played with that. I used eye shadow do dads to get the different colors from my stamp pads. I like the way it turned out but am still learning how to use the Smooch Spray so please disregard the glumps.

So here’s my design:
I hope you like it and I will post the recipe later on. I am off to work to go make some shaggy dogs look beautious!! This has been super fun and I have found some new ways to use the Friends 24-7 stamp set and I hope that I have inspired you to step out of the box and try some new things and some new colors with your stamp sets This is made with all of the in-colors for the past year and I stamped the floral stamp in the same ink as the paper. As for today, I was home all day not feeling to well and thankfully, there were not enough dogs on the grooming schedule for me to go in, so I had the day off. When they say that GOD is always looking out for you and watching over you, I completely wholeheartedly believer that. I so needed this day off.

After I got the kiddos off to school, I decided I had better get working on my color challenge and this is what I came up with. I absolutely love paper piecing and feel like a  kid when I am doing it. I cannot just color Miss Build a Bear in, its just not my style.

Isn’t she so cute???? I love this set!! I hope they come out with more stuff.

This week I decided to do a wedding card for the challenge. I thought this lattice die did a wonderful take on the 6 squares that I “saw” to be part of the design. I am sorry this is so short of a post but I am getting ready to go to work. For those of you that don’t know I am doing Dog Grooming part time with one of my good friends Patty and I LOVE it. Have you heard that we are getting a color renovation at Stampin Up??? Starting in July the new colors will come out for you to purchase but for now if your beloved color is retiring you should probably stock up on it now. I personally am super excited about this change and some of my favorite past IN COLORS are coming back.  Below is what will be our new color pallet and I hope that you will be as excited about this change as I am. We needed to be in with the times and Stampin Up  did just that.

As for the retiring colors we have another photo for you to see of them.  A couple of the colors will be missed but honestly I cannot say that the ones that are retiring are ones that I used in my projects on a regular basis.   If you are interested in any of these retiring color, please email me so we can get your order in and you won’t be paying high prices else where.

Here’s my challenge card for the Diva Coffee Break Designs. I had alot of fun with this one doing the paper piecing. This card is going to be in my craft room framed I like it so much.

Hello stampers:
The next couple of days I will be sharing with you the things that we made with one of my Hostess clubs. One of the gals wanted to make the 6 piece scalloped square basket but wouldn’t have enough DSP to make them from one pack of DSP. SO I made this for her to  show her how cute these could be and that she would still have room to put other candies and such in it. SHE LOVED IT!

We also made the bunny’s with the peppermint patties. They turned out so cute. These are not my idea, and I cannot find the person to give credit to. The class all bought punches to make these for their kids.
